March 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

My current makeup subscription box is from Ipsy. I was a bit skeptical about a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box because I didn't want to end up with a bunch of products I couldn't use or didn't know how to use. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products in a cute makeup bag, and I was sold after checking out their previous bags. If you're not very adventurous with makeup like me, it's a great way to build your makeup collection on the cheap and expand your makeup expertise!

The March Ipsy Glam Bag was full of swag to get you ready for spring! The cute bag came in a variety of colours which was the first time Ipsy offered a variety of bag designs. I got a very nice red and green floral print bag. Its the perfect size for packing essentials when you need a little overnight makeup bag.

In my bag:

Marc Anthony blow dry smoothing cream

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara
Beau Gachis Eyebrow Brush
Make Up For Ever Hydrating Primer
Temptu Bronzer

I rate the March Ipsy Glam Bag 4/5!

My eyebrow game is pretty simple and I usually use an eyebrow pencil to achieve the look I want, so I was stoked to experiment with new products that could make my eyebrows look even more fab! Here's a pic of my brows filled in with a plain old brown eyebrow pencil. Pretty normal looking right??

More about the products inside:

Marc Anthony blow dry smoothing cream- I CRAVE moisture since my hair is chemically treated. This blow dry cream promises to "hold hair straight, frizz-free AND shiny for up to three days" SAY WHHAAAAAAT???? I really love the texture of this and since I'm only on my first day I can't comment on its three day promise. So far so good! UPDATE--->After the third day my hair was still smooth. I did use more cream to touch up the ends but this product held true to their word!

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara- I was really disappointed with this product. Not only was it too dark for me, but it made my brows feel sticky and look fake. I felt like this was an unnecessary step and didn't see any benefit to using this on my brows. I will be sticking to my regular brow routine and TOSS this product in the trash.

Beau Gachis Eyebrow Brush- Now this was something I could use! I love this brush and it held the product nicely. I was able to make some really sharp lines with this tool. LOVE!

Make Up For Ever Hydrating Primer- I confess, I never used primer before. GAH! I'm glad for the sample but I'm a simple girl with an even simpler makeup routine and always thought I could just skip the primer. I really like the texture and it absorbed very quickly. It did make my skin feel smoother but I wouldn't say my makeup felt any different. After one use it was hard to say if this will be an essential step in my makeup routine.

Temptu Bronzer- This product felt a bit watery coming out of the tube but ended up delivering a really nice shimmer. Definitely keep in mind that "a little dab'll do" when using this liquid bronzer. It has a very concentrated shimmer that spreads well on the skin.

What did you get in your March Glam Bag? I'd love to hear from you!
