My First Time using NYX Double Stacked mascara

I have been lucky enough to get awesome products to try from Ipsy, my current makeup subscription that I get once a month. The cool thing about it is, not only do you get stuff to try that maybe you wouldn't have thought of buying in store, you also earn points by leaving your review about the products you try. This month I earned enough point to get an exclusive NYX product. The Double Stacked mascara appeared in my points list one day and I had to grab it! It promises "all the drama you could ever imagine" so I just HAD to try it for myself.

This was my first time trying a mascara with fibres and I wasn't sure what I was in for. This was a three step process that included a base coat (black tube), fibre coat (white tube), and top coat (black tube). I didn't mind the formula of the regular mascara, but I didn't like how the fibres fell on my face and fluttered around while I was applying it. It actually took about two or three coats of the fibres to really get them on my lashes. I really didn't see a difference with just one coat of the fibres. The top coat went on a bit glossy and looked like tar, but dried nicely. I was really impressed with the end result. Check out this before and after picture! What a difference huh!?
