How To- Using Makeup Brushes

Just take a quick peek in your favourite beauty supply store and you might be overwhelmed with the amount of makeup brushes you can find! At first glance there may seem like a thousand brushes just for applying makeup, but not all brushes are created equal! Here's a makeup brush "cheat sheet" so you won't have to be as confused as I was the first time I bought a set of brushes. Once you buy your first set of beautiful brushes, refer to the picture below so you know how to use them!

My favourite brushes are:
Powder Brush: The long, fluffy bristles evenly diffuse loose powders.
Alternate use: Sweep blush from the apples of your cheeks along your cheekbones.
All-Over Eye Shadow Brush: Use an eye shadow brush to evenly apply powder and cream shadows.
Blending Brush: The fluffy bristles diffuse eye shadow in the crease of your eye.
Concealer Brush: Use a small, synthetic brush to pinpoint specific areas that need extra coverage.
Angled Eyeliner Brush: This brush easily lines lashes with cream or gel liner or shadow.
Kabuki Brush: This big brush is perfect for softly applying bronzers and powders, and for evenly distributing product across your face or body.

And of course:
Beauty Blender: Use the sponge's broad sides to smooth out product on your face. Use the tip to reach creases around the nose and to pinpoint small areas.

  1. Thanks for making this post! Was very informative and helpful as always. Now that I know how to use it, I might just buy a beauty blender now after all. ☺❤
