My first time using an Avocado hand mask

If you're like me, you like to unwind with an at home beauty treatment, glass of wine, and MAYBE binge watch something on Netflix. Most times I like to throw on a facial mask but guess what...I tried something new! A HAND MASK!!! Say whaaaaaaaat? Yup. Exactly what it sounds like. A mask for your hands. I had no idea such a thing exists, so guess who was super excited when I got one to try. 😜😜😜

Here's a bit about the Sephora Collection hand mask:

What it is:
A line of hand care treatments, each with a different benefit, that offers 15 minutes of pure bliss.

What it is formulated to do:
Inspired by Asian beauty rituals, the Sephora Collection hand masks provide an effective solution to meet every need. The single pair of non-drip, coated gloves will take care of your hands as you continue what you're doing. Each offers a skin-enhancing benefit.

Avocado Hand Mask: Offers intense nutrition to nourish and soothe hands.

Research results:
Avocado Hand Mask:
In a use test on 100 volunteers after 3 days of use:
- 96% felt the mask is quick and easy to use
- 97% felt hands were soft
- 97% felt the mask soothes dry and sensitive skin

I was very skeptical about using a hand mask. I didn't think I would see any results but was pleasantly surprised! Funny enough, my initial reaction was disgust. At first it felt like putting on a rubber glove that you don't realize has a hole in it. I hate the feeling of water getting trapped in the glove when I'm washing dishes, and I felt the same sensation when I put on the hand mask. My hands felt so soggy and oh so....gross. It took a few minutes to get used to the feeling and it turned out to not feel so bad. I was able to use the phone while the mask was on my hand so I wasn't completely useless lol!!!

Yup...the white glove made me feel like a cartoon character...

Once I took the hand mask off,  I rubbed the remaining serum into my hands. It felt sticky but absorbed nicely after a few minutes. It smelled great and felt very luxurious. I really noticed an immediate improvement. I had cracks between my fingers that seemed to have disappeared and my hand did feel incredibly smooth. My amazement was short lived though, because my cracks returned after washing my hands a couple times.

Have you tried a hand mask? What did you think?
