July 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

My current makeup subscription box is from Ipsy. I was a bit skeptical about a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box because I didn't want to end up with a bunch of products I couldn't use or didn't know how to use. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products in a cute makeup bag, and I was sold after checking out their previous bags. If you're not very adventurous with makeup like me, it's a great way to build your makeup collection on the cheap and expand your makeup expertise!

The July Ipsy Glam Bag was the perfect summer themed haul. Let me take a moment to tell you how cute the metallic bag was. I loved the little umbrellas and thought the pink and blue zipper was adorable! I have been a subscriber since February 2016 and have not been disappointed yet!

I was pleased with every single item in my bag and was so excited to try them all.

In my bag:
Not Soap Radio When Life Gives You Lemons hand and body lotion
Vasanti eyeshadow brush
Too Faced Hangover Face Primer
Model co Power Lash Mascara
The Balm Mr. Write Now eyeliner pencil in Scott

I also scored an exclusive preview of NYX Doubled Stacked base coat and mascara by cashing in some points *HUGE BONUS!!!*

I rate the July Ipsy Glam Bag 5/5!

The product I was most excited about was the Too Faced primer. Before I started my makeup journey I never bothered with primer. It was one of those things that I felt I could go without. Now that I'm able to try new brands I wouldn't have thought to try, I realize how wrong I was to go without something so important as primer. THANK YOU IPSY!!

More about the products inside:

Not Soap Radio When Life Gives You Lemons hand and body lotion- I really liked the formula of this lemon scented lotion. My hands felt so smooth and smelled AMAZING!! It absorbed quickly into my skin and wasn't sticky. My new go-to lotion!

Vasanti eyeshadow brush- The bristles on this eyeshadow brush seemed longer than any other eyeshadow brush I currently have. It's soft, yet dense. I like.

Too Faced Hangover Face Primer- I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth this formula is! This was the first Too Faced product that I have tried and I was very very pleased to see an immediate difference in my skin's appearance. Obsessed!

Model co Power Lash Mascara- There wasn't anything that really stood out with this mascara. The brush and formula were average. It did the job like any other mascara, but I didn't see anything unusually "special" about it. Meh.

The Balm Mr. Write Now eyeliner pencil in Scott-I really liked the colour of this liner. It wasn't quite brown, but it wasn't quite purple. Maroon isn't it either. Whatever it is...I like it.

What did you get in your July Glam Bag? I'd love to hear from you!
