My First Time using Glowmedica

I've always been the type of person that needed to use an exfoliant on my face in order for it to feel clean. As a teenager, I was the worst for over scrubbing, resulting in that shiny-but-dry skin that didn't absorb or respond well to moisturizers. I always used to skip the moisturizer because of this. Oh, how wrong was I back then?!?! Now that I'm older (and much, much more wiser) I understand what works for my skin and the importance of using an exfoliant no more than twice a week.

For the longest time I was in love with the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Scrub. The bursting beads really made my skin feel so much softer, and my skin was in the best condition it ever was. It turns out that since this product contains tiny plastic microbeads called polyethylene beads, it will no longer be produced. The scoop is, these little beads are not filtered properly during sewage treatment and have the potential to harm marine life (major booooooo!) So, now that my favourite scrub is banned in my country, I was a very very happy camper when I was sent the Amber Glow scrub from the Glowmedica team.

My first check was to see if the product contained polyethylene beads. I was happy to find that the Amber Glow felt like sand. It was very gritty but oh, so luxurious. Exactly what I was looking for. My skin felt super soft and I was very surprised with the results. I didn't realize how different my skin could feel and look, just by using an exfoliant with better ingredients.

I used the Timeless Glow Mask after using the exfoliant for a double whammy treatment and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The smell was very nice, but a bit too strong for me. I prefer a much more subtle scent, but that didn't take away from the experience at all. I felt like I treated myself to a mini facial at home after using these products. I highly recommend checking out Glowmedica and their entire line of products! It feels nice to finally find a worthy replacement for my favourite scrub that's so much better in more ways than one!
