August 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

My current makeup subscription box is from Ipsy. I was a bit skeptical about a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box because I didn't want to end up with a bunch of products I couldn't use or didn't know how to use. Each month you get full size or deluxe-sized products in a cute makeup bag, and I was sold after checking out their previous bags. If you're not very adventurous with makeup like me, it's a great way to build your makeup collection on the cheap and expand your makeup expertise!

The August Ipsy Glam Bag theme was Sugar Highness. I really liked the design of the bag this month. My bag design reminded me of a mermaid character with turquoise hair. I liked that Ipsy did something a little different with this design. 

I was not pleased with every item in my bag which was a strange feeling for me because I'm usually impressed with my Glam Bags.

While I'm happy to get a wide range of products, I was a bit disappointed to get another Marc Anthony hair product. 

I rate the August Ipsy Glam Bag 3/5! 

The product I was most excited about was the Neogen Tightening Pack. I've never heard of this brand before so I was happy to try something new, and OF COURSE I've been all about skin care these days! THANK YOU IPSY!!

Marc Anthony Hair Conditioning treatment- As much as I like Marc Anthony products, it would have been nice to get something different. I did like the results, don't get me wrong! I'm a huge fan of Argan oil especially since I have very dry and damaged hair. If you haven't tried Marc Anthony hair care, you should definitely check it out!

Trust Fund Beauty Liquid Lipstick in K, Bye- UGH! What a disappointment this colour was. It was all wrong! I looked like a crackhead because the colour was too light :( No thanks Ipsy!! It wasn't TOTALLY bad though. I did like the formula. The liquid lipstick went on smooth and stayed put. Too bad it looked terrible on me! It did look nice on my Asian friend though...so there's that...

Formula X nail polish in Dollface- This was my first experience with Formula X nail polish. I liked how smooth it went on my nails. The colour looked nice and I'm a huge fan of nude polish. I LIKEY!

Neogen Code 9 Tightening Pack- Oh yes...my fave item in my bag this month. My skin felt so smooth and refreshed after using this mask. I'm definitely going to buy more!! Stay tuned for a full review of this tightening pack!

NYX Liquid Illuminator- I'm on the fence with this product. As much as I want to love NYX just like everyone else, I just can't get over how easily it flaked off when I swatched it. Maybe it would stay put when I use it on my face with makeup. I dunno. I did like the colour. I was very very pretty. I'm just not a fan of the formula.
